The Power Of Change
Hi Everyone,
I don?t know about you but I am very excited about 2010. It is starting out to be a great start and like all things; a great start makes all the difference for growth. I have decided to continue the rest of the newsletters around goal setting. Each month I will go through the stages that make people decide to really want to change old habits, and learn some new empowering habits.
I want to run a competition around goal setting. I?d like all those who want to join the competition to pick three goals that will improve your life. These goals need to be set out in three stages.
Starting with your short term three month goal. Choose a small achievable goal that can be achieved in the three month time frame, (1st April ? 1st July 2010). The prize for this will be a DVD of ?The Secret?, if you already have it, give it to a friend.
The second goal will be set out to six months, (1st April ? 1st Oct 2010) the prize for that will be a DVD of ?The Secret? and a book called ?How to Be Wildly Wealthy Fast.? By Sandy Forster.
The final goal will be for one year out, (1st April 2010 ? 1st April 2011) this needs to be a goal that you have always wanted to achieve. The prize for this will be a DVD of ?The Secret?, a book called ?How To Be Wildly Wealthy Fast? AND you will also get a set of 11 CD?s and a workbook on ?Millionaire Success Secrets for Women.? I want all of you interested in achieving your goals to email me
so I know who is in the competition. I want you to choose your goals and let me know them, E.g. 3mth goal is to loss 10kgs. Six month goal is to be earning??.Twelve month goal is to travel to??.
You will need to submit a plan of how you intend to achieve your goals, go to this site for some help in putting a plan together simpleology
I will require some sort of evidence that the goals have been achieved e.g. photo?s
or testimonials etc. You can choose to have a buddy that will help keep you accountable, if you like. I will pick out what I consider to be the best strategy and effort from the information I am given.
You have until the 1st April to put your goals forward, and then the doors will close to make it fare on everyone.
The winners will be published in my newsletter the month following the end of each goal period. Now let?s get onto the second part of the newsletter.
Set In Motion The Power Of Change:
In life there are only two certainties one is Taxes and the other is Death. It may seem like a strange way to start goal setting, but this my friends is a fact of life. As for the rest of life it is something that needs to be planned, even if the plan is as simple as making a mental decision about what you will have for dinner. You choose the meat then decide what vegetables will go with that. That is just a quick repetition plan that has happened for many many years.
There are certain circumstances that happen to us that starts the ball of CHANGE going. The first sign, that CHANGE needs to happen is the feelings of Dissatisfaction, often there are thoughts that start those feelings, to surface. Our situation is one of the first signs, whether that be the jobbbb your in or anything else that you aren?t satisfied with. Don?t be annoyed with yourself or come down hard on yourself either. Be thankful that there is a part of you that says ?Hey????. you are more than this, remember when you achieved ????., you say ?YES I do remember that, what steps of action did I take when I achieved that goal, because I know I was unstoppable at the time.? These feelings and empowerment are still within you right now, for some they maybe a little dormant. You already have the blue print of how to achieve, but along the path that we journey we can get knocked off our perch. We don?t alter our approach we just tend to give up and say, ?Oh that doesn?t work,? and get yet another feeling of failure, or I am not good enough. It is that small voice inside us that starts to get louder and louder until we just can?t ignore it anymore.
To set in motion your POWER of CHANGE, you need to make a decision TODAY that you can commit to these changes. That is why it is so important to not only put in place your goals but to ACTION them on a daily bases. These past failures have made people famous, just imagine if Thomas Edison had given up on the idea of inventing the light bulb after 100, 500 or even 900 failures, would we be still living in darkness. It is only those that will rise to the challenges that life puts in front of them that will live the life of there dreams, not only in one area but in a balance of all areas.
Take a look at major areas of your life, Family, Spiritual, Financial, Relationship and Business or your Professionalism. Reflect on these areas and ask yourself this very important question. Are you where you want to be in these areas?
Now reflect on where you want to be in each of these areas. It could be helpful to write a short description of where you would like to be in each of these areas. Now do the comparison between where you are and where you would like to be. See what area has the greatest distance from where you are to where you want to be. Begin to explore to see why the distance or gap is so great. Look at the circumstances that keep you stuck in an unsatisfied and unacceptable position. Often it is a lack of knowledge and understanding in that area that prevents the forward movement.
Look at the GAP between where you are and where you want to be. Are there feelings associated around this area of your life? Is it a feeling of Dissatisfaction or feelings of being Uncomfortable? no matter what, don?t ignore those feelings. Satisfy yourself by being committed and start setting your GOALS in the area of your life that you want change. These feelings are WARNING signs, so step up and decide that you are willing to make a difference as you are moving in the right direction.
